Shaun Tan

My close friend Hannah bought 'The Red Tree' for my birthday earlier this year and it is without a doubt one of the best picture books I've ever read; beautiful, profound and thought provoking. If you get a chance to pick up any of his books then do so because he is a very talented bloke.

(sorry the pictures aren't very high res, they don't really do it justice at all, all the more reason to go out a get a copy!)

Every year after christmas turkey and too much sherry, Grandma misbehaves,

Instinctive visual response to having a really bad drawing day.

Shit man, xmas is over, now what?

These guys are well aware that xmas is over, time to clear up and you're simply another year older, great.

Polkadot Blues

Most fitting name for a song ever.

John Paul Thurlow

Some kind of pencil sorcery going on here. This guy has been recreating magazine covers in painstaking detail, the Natalie Portman one makes me weak at the knees. Don't click if you're prone to jealousy.

My beautiful sister

Martha was drinking a glass of coke and got a bit of lemon up the straw.

Clandestine goings on

A development of that original sketch with some added colour.

lads with tats

Self explanatory. I might do a series of these bruisers with their ink. The one at the top is a die-hard suicidal tendencies fan.
